How to Edit Home Page Content
Before you begin:
- Ensure your CNAME record is set up and validated.
- Be logged into your 3local dashboard.
- Know the content updates you wish to make (text, meta title, overlay URL, scripts, etc.).
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Access the Site Editor
- From the dashboard, navigate to “My Site.”
- Scroll below the map to the “Site Details” section.
- Click the blue “Edit Home” button.
2. Review Site Info
You’ll be taken to the Site Information area where you can:
- View/edit your:
- Site Name
- Location
- Domain/Subdomain
- Sitemap
- Toggle features:
- Click-to-Call: Enables phone call link.
- Overlay: Displays an external website in place of the homepage content.
- If enabled, enter the Overlay URL you want to display.
3. Edit Homepage Content
- Scroll down to the “Content” section.
- Here you can edit:
- Meta Title (visible in search engine results)
- Main Homepage Content
Click inside the text areas to directly type or paste your updated content.
4: Add Header or Footer Code (Optional)
Further down the page, you’ll find input boxes to insert:
- Header Code: For scripts like tracking pixels (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Footer Code: For chat widgets, custom scripts, or other HTML.
Paste your code into the appropriate section.
5. Save & Preview
- Scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes.”
- Click the purple “Preview” button.
- This opens a preview version of your homepage.
- Confirm that layout, formatting, and content appear as intended.
- Test functionality (e.g., click-to-call).
6. Final Edits and Publish
If further changes are needed:
- Go back to the dashboard.
- Click “Edit Home” again and scroll to the content section.
- Make the necessary edits.
- Click “Save Changes.”
- Preview once more if needed.
- When satisfied, scroll down and click “Publish” to push your changes live.
