Privacy + Terms & Conditions

How to Edit the Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions

Before starting, ensure:

  • You are logged into the 3local dashboard.
  • You have your updated Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions content ready (from legal counsel or templates).
  • You understand any legal requirements for your industry and location.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Locate the Existing Legal Pages

  • Scroll to the bottom/footer of any published 3local page.
  • Click on “Privacy Policy” or “Terms and Conditions”.
  • You’ll see the default content provided by 3local.

These default pages are placeholders. You’ll want to update them with your own content.

2. Access the Page Editor

  • In your 3local dashboard:
    • Click into “Site Details”
    • Then click “Edit Home”
  • Inside the “Edit Site Info” page, locate the new tab labeled “Terms and Privacy Policies.”

3. Edit the Privacy Policy and Terms

  • Click into the “Terms and Privacy Policies” tab.
  • The fields may appear blank — this is expected if only the default content is currently in place.
  • Paste in your own:
    • Privacy Policy
    • Terms & Conditions
  • Make any needed formatting adjustments (headings, spacing, bold, etc.).

The content you paste here will automatically replace the default versions linked in your site’s footer.

4. Save and Publish Your Updates

  • Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
  • Return to the main site editor page and scroll to the bottom.
  • Click “Publish” to push the new legal content live.

5. Verify the Changes

  • Refresh your live website.
  • Scroll to the bottom and click the Privacy Policy or Terms and Conditions links in the footer.
  • Confirm that your new content is now displayed correctly.
