1. Introduction

Welcome to 3local.com and app.3local.com, operated by 3local Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company number: 16598862), with its registered office at 232 Stamford Street Central, Ashton-Under-Lyne, United Kingdom, OL6 7NQ ("3local," "we," "our," or "us").

Our operating offices are:

  • Building 12 Office 2, Tameside House, Windmill Lane, Denton, Manchester M34 3QS

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.


2. Account Registration and Ownership

2.1. Account Creation

To use our Services, users must register for an account upon starting a trial or purchasing a subscription. Role-based access may apply (e.g. Admin, Editor).

2.2. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. All activity under your account is your responsibility.

2.3. Account Ownership

The owner of a 3local account is the person or entity whose email address appears in our records as the registered owner. In the event of a dispute, we reserve the right to:

  • Determine ownership based on our reasonable judgment;
  • Request documentation to verify ownership (e.g., government-issued ID, business registration);
  • Suspend the account until the dispute is resolved;
  • Make no determination if we deem it appropriate.

2.4. Contributor Access

If you are invited to a 3local workspace or account as a contributor, you acknowledge that the account owner has full control and visibility over your activities and any associated content.


3. Eligibility and User Obligations

By using our Services, you warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or the legal age in your jurisdiction;
  • You possess the authority to enter into a legally binding agreement;
  • Your billing address and contact details are accurate and truthful;
  • You are not a Sanctioned Party or accessing the Service from a sanctioned region;
  • You comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

You further undertake to:

  • Maintain the accuracy and legality of your User Content;
  • Ensure that all necessary consents have been obtained for processing personal data;
  • Regularly back up your data;
  • Refrain from unauthorized use of 3local’s IP or services.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

4.1. Pricing & Trials

We offer tiered monthly and annual subscription plans with optional add-ons. A limited free trial is available.

4.2. Billing

We may process payments via Thrivecart using Stripe and PayPal. Future transitions may involve Paddle. Payments recur automatically based on your plan.

4.3. Refund Policy

  • Full refund available within 30 days of an initial purchase.
  • No refunds for subsequent renewals or rebills.
  • Refunds are processed in accordance with UK consumer law and third-party billing provider terms.

5. Cancellation and Termination

5.1. User Cancellation

Users may cancel their subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

  • Editing and management access is removed;
  • Pages created remain live but display a link to our service;
  • Users must remove associated CNAME records to deactivate visibility.

5.2. Termination by 3local

We reserve the right to terminate accounts for abusive behavior, spam, or illegal activity, with or without notice.


6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1. User Content

Users retain full ownership of content they upload, create, or import. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, use, and display this content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You must:

  • Own all rights or have licenses to any content you upload;
  • Ensure the content is lawful and does not infringe on any rights;
  • Obtain necessary consents for data that includes personal information or likenesses.

6.2. AI-Generated Content

Our app includes AI-generated text and pages. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy and legality of such content before publishing. We disclaim all liability for inaccuracies or consequences arising from the use of AI-generated content.

6.3. 3local’s Intellectual Property

All platform code, templates, and embedded tools remain the intellectual property of 3local Ltd. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce these materials without express written consent.


7. Acceptable Use

Users must not:

  • Engage in illegal, fraudulent, or harmful behavior;
  • Upload malware or spam content;
  • Misrepresent ownership of content;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts;
  • Abuse or harass other users or our staff.

8. Availability and Support

  • We provide in-app chat and email support.
  • No guaranteed SLAs or uptime commitments are made.
  • We may make changes to the service and features without notice.

9. Privacy and Data Handling

We store and process personal information per our Privacy Policy. Third-party services may process data in the UK, EU, and USA.

Current subprocessors include (but are not limited to):

  • Stripe
  • PayPal
  • Paddle
  • AWS
  • OpenAI

10. Limitation of Liability

3local Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss, business interruption, or reputational harm.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve (12) months prior to any claim.


11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall first be addressed through mediation. Unresolved disputes will be settled by arbitration under LCIA rules.


12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms. Continued use of our Services constitutes your agreement to the latest version.
